It’s the DAWN of a new era. The electro-R&B singer has released two new distinct records — “Oh Lord” and “So Good.”
On “Oh Lord,” which she deems as an interlude, the singer wants to live in the land of endless possibilities.
“I want to see my father without cancer / That’s all I pray,” she sings on the snapping instrumental. “I want to walk the streets and be black and proud.”
“So Good” is a simplistic drumming-pattern jam that finds DAWN longing for some good loving from a low-life lover.
DAWN is eyeing a winter release for her next project, which is promised to “sound like New Orleans.”
