Ginette Claudette takes her honesty to the basketball court in the music video for her bubbling new track “True.”
In the Spike Jordan-directed clip, the singer visits her hometown of Washington Heights, NY to spend time with her dancing homegirls. She also finds time to link up with an old love interest at the neighborhood b-ball court. From there, she lets him know “it’s true” she’s been missing him.
“[It’s] one of the most honest songs I’ve put out — wildly specific, yet light and fun,” said Claudette about the Rico Love and Casanova produced track. “I think we’ve all been in that place before…I definitely have and this song makes me feel better about it.”
“True” is will land on Claudette’s on her upcoming project, which is promised to drop later this year on Summerchild Records/Red Music. The project will follow her 2015 EP, All the Way, which included her buzz single “Jump.”
