After vowing that she was “literally done” with music, Ari Lennox blesses us with two new songs — “Grampa” and “40 Shades of Choke.”

On “Grampa,” which is a bluesy ’70s-styled record, Ari insists her man is setting in his old ways too fast after she requests to see him.

“Why you gotta be a grampa? / Let a girl come and see you / It ain’t gotta be a motherfucking reason,” she sings on the cheeky track.

“40 Shades of Choke,” is a wavy track that finds the Dreamville frontwoman demanding her man to put his “hands around her rolls.”

With no official album or project news, there is no question where “Grampa” and “40 Shades of Choke” will end up in Ari’s discography. The two new offerings succeed her sugary release “Whipped Cream,” which premiered earlier this summer.
