Now that the holiday season is here, John Legend releases a family-oriented visual for his rendition of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” featuring Esperanza Spalding.
For the cozy narrative, Legend takes a page straight from Hallmark’s Christmas movie marathons. Acting like one overly happy family, the jolly visual follows the singers and two young children as they prepare for Ol’ Saint Nicholas to come down the chimney with lots of gifts.
Legend and his wife Chrissy received rave reviews for their hilarious holiday special, which premiered on Wednesday night (Nov. 28) on NBC. The ’90s sitcom-style television event included their famous friends and music from his debut holiday album, A Legendary Christmas.
Legend is currently on tour in support of his festive collection of songs.
