ELHAE is officially back. After sharing “Hennessy” earlier this month, the North Dakota native has released his highly awaited new album, Trouble in Paradise, on Atlantic Records.
The deeply personal project takes listeners on a journey through ELHAE’s mind as reflects on a past relationship. The 13-track offering includes features from rappers Big K.R.I.T., O.T. Genasis and Wale. He also enlisted some help from his R&B counterparts Sevyn Streeter (“Moments”) and Xavier Omär (“I.D.B.I.L.”).
ELHAE went on Twitter to express his gratitude for all the support he has been getting from his new album. “My heart is full today guys, really,” he tweeted. “I put so much time and effort into this album and to see you guys love it means the world to me. Thank you.”
He also gave props to his longtime engineer who helped him with the album. “Man shout out my partner in crime Chico for mixing this album and staying up late nights with me to get this to sound the way it does,” he said. “I owe him a lot he’s been there since AURA. So I felt the need to shout him out. He deserves it.”
Trouble in Paradise follows ELHAE’s 2017 project, Aura II.
