Tiffany Evans and her oldest daughter Adalia are making waves. Before Instagram went down on Wednesday, the R&B vocalist shared a cute cover of her and Adalia singing Ariana Grande’s single “7 Rings” on Tuesday night.
Taking the lead, Evans opened up with the first verse with her impeccable vocals. Remaining cool and unbothered with her shades on until it was her turn to slay, Adalia joined in to sing the chorus.
Within minutes, the mommy-daughter duo’s rendition went viral on Instagram and Twitter. It’s received over 3 million views on Instagram (via The Shade Room) and over 1.3 million views on Evans’ Twitter.
Fellow R&B acts chimed in on Instagram with supportive comments. “My babygirl loves this song. That was dope! Killed that,” Christina Milian wrote. “Toooooo cuuuuuute!!!,” Keyshia Cole commented.
“I had no idea that me and Addy’s cover would blow up like this,” Evans said in a statement. “We were just having a mommy-daughter moment. She wanted to record a video of us singing Ariana Grande’s ‘7 Rings’ because it’s one of her favorite songs right now.”
In January, Evans released a self-directed visual for her latest single “Switch Up.” The kiss-off track will appear on her forthcoming EP that is slated to release this spring.
