Emerging R&B singer Angelica Vila has dropped her new single titled “More in the Morning,” produced by legendary duo Cool & Dre.
Over an infectious beat, which samples Grace Jones’ cover of Edith Piaf’s song “La Vie En Rose,” Vila gushes over her man’s skills in the bedroom. “I can never get enough of you / Find myself wanting more in the morning,” the 20-year-old sings on the chorus.
Vila also shared the accompanying video for “More in the Morning,” which was directed by the acclaimed Mike Ho.”Being able to have the opportunity to work with Mike Ho was an extreme blessing,” Vila siaid in a press statement.
“The entire crew went so hard on set, it was so much fun and I would do it all again,” she continued. “My glam team made me look beautiful and working with them was a breath of fresh air. I’m excited to drop the visual for my AVators who have been super supportive of me!”
For the tantalizing clip, Vila also worked with renowned choreographer Jamaica Craft (Ciara, Usher, Justin Bieber) to create some dope dance moves.
Vila was discovered by rapper Fat Joe after she posted her cover of DJ Khaled’s song “Wild Thoughts” a couple years ago. In 2017, he signed her to his RNG label in partnership with Roc Nation and Republic Records. In an interview with The Breakfast Club, Fat Joe proclaimed Vila is “gonna change the game.”
