Less than six months after releasing her On to Something EP, Ginette Claudette returns with a brand new bop titled “Let It Ride.”
On the dreamy track, the singer yearns for her man to keep her “feeling high for a little bit” as she takes in the lovestruck moment between them.
To complement her new song, Claudette released a vibrant music video where she is seen in a bubbly state of mind while playing around with a white Aster Dwarf.
Looking back at our in-depth conversation with Claudette, “Let It Ride” could be one of three songs that didn’t make her 2018 EP.
“There is like black chalkboard in the basement of our hub in Toronto that includes a list of songs,” Claudette told Rated R&B in December 2018. “I think that everything made it expect three other songs that I still love so much. I have every intention of using in the future, but they just didn’t make sense for this particular project. I think we did a really good job at honing in on all the dope R&B influences by picking the songs that we picked. But there are definitely some babies on there that didn’t make it.”
