Grammy-nominated singer Brent Faiyaz is making a statement with his new EP titled Fuck The World.
The 12-song project features the slow-burning croons Faiyaz has become known for. The title track is a kiss-off to those who have done him wrong.
He begins the titular song with, “Fuck the world I’m a walking erection / Spend without a thought, we do it reckless / Your n***a caught us texting / You said ‘baby don’t be mad, you know how Brent is.”
“Don’t really use this app, but I wanna take the opportunity to thank everyone who ever gave us a chance,” Faiyaz tweeted shortly after the EP’s release. “Big ups 2 Freeze & the whole family for continuously helping me execute my vision.”
Fuck The World is Faiyaz’s first release since his Lost EP in 2018. The Columbia, Maryland native released his debut album, Sonder Son, back in 2017.
