Kelis calls out her swagger jackers in her new song called “Copycat,” produced by Skream.
There’s no telling who Kelis is talking about in this song, we can only leave it up to our imagination. Whoever she’s singing about, she wants to let them know that she’s been there and done that.
“Aw, come here copycat / You’re my puppet, you know I love it,” Kelis coos. “I’m such a fan of the dress / That’s why I bought it — five years ago!”
We haven’t heard much from Kelis since she dropped her 2010 album, Flesh Tone, which was a commercial disaster. Kelis only sold 7,800 units in the first week of sales.
“Copycat” is will be featured on DJ Skream’s upcoming EP.
