A month after releasing his mighty comeback single “Lead Me,” CeeLo Green offers up a second taste from his upcoming album CeeLo Green is Thomas Callaway.
Containing a bluesy-soul production, “Doing It All Together” describes an unbreakable bond between two people who essentially need each other to survive.
While Green wails that he’s been through the “wind and rain” with a longtime pal, he also realizes the importance of them sticking together no matter what.
“I need, need you / You need me too / That means, we’re doing it all together / I’m here, you’re there
You’re kind and fair / That means, we’re doin’ it all together,” Green sings in the opening line.
CeeLo Green Is Thomas Callaway, which is set to arrive on June 26 via Easy Eye Sound, follows 2015’s Heart Blanche.
