CeeLo Green, the boisterous music maverick, has released “Lead Me,” the first single from his forthcoming CeeLo Green is…Thomas Calloway.
“Lead Me” is one of those spirited anthemic songs that just pierces your soul. At his finest when he puts on a mighty vocal performance, CeeLo renders a “tale of love, encouragement and faith” with generous help from choir-fueled amens and a churchy organ.
“What if we just kept on walking, and count the cracks along the ground / And quitting’s crossed my mind quite often / But we’ve come too far to turn around / Baby, you don’t have to worry,” he sings.
Back in 2019, CeeLo joined forces with Big Boi and Sleepy Brown for their single “Intentions.” The record peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs, marking his second highest-charting single on the chart.
CeeLo Green is…Thomas Calloway is expected to arrive in June.
