After crowning herself as “Quarantine Queen” in May, Sinead Harnett returns with her new single titled “Stickin.” The British singer enlisted her R&B colleagues Masego and VanJess to add their touch to the song.
Co-produced by Sunny Kale and Mike Brainchild, “Stickin” is about being there with your lover through the ups and downs. “But you know I’ll still be here sticking with you / I’ll still be here sticking with you Whether you lift me up / Or whether you’re taking me down,” Harnett sings on the chorus.
“When we were making the track it felt like summer to me, and I wanted to bring a little contrast to that lyrically,” said Harnett on the inspiration behind her new track. “Often the people that most get on our nerves are the ones we’re closest to. The ones we’ll always stick by. I loved how VanJess made their own spin on that notion, and how Masego gave his side to the story in response.”
“Stickin” is the first single from Harnett’s upcoming sophomore album, which will follow 2019’s Lessons in Love.
