Masego Kaytranada Need It video

On the heels of his thrilling sophomore album Bubba, multifaceted musician Kaytranada is back with the visual for his Masego-assisted song “Need It.”

Directed by Andre Bato, “Need It” takes on an adrenaline-pumped, blue-tinted club scene complete with a fight scene.

The video is loosely inspired by the opening scene to the classic Hype Williams-directed 1998 crime drama film Belly. However, instead of violently robbing partygoers, the brawl turns into an epic dance battle with Masego serenading to an infectious beat.

Kaytranada’s album Bubba was released in late 2019 and features additional appearances from SiR, Estelle, Pharrell Williams, Kali Uchis and more.

The lauded sophomore effort peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart.

“Need It” is the second visual to drop from the LP following Kaytranada’s “10%” video with Uchis.
