Emerging singer Keedron Bryant is showing no signs of slowing down. After releasing his debut EP I Just Wanna Live in September, the 13-year-old viral sensation returns with a Christmas project.
Aptly titled The Best Time of Year, the four-track package includes Bryant’s rendition of the Jackson 5 classic “Give Love on Christmas Day,” as well as Boyz II Men and Brian McKnight’s “Let It Snow.” The latter tune features vocal contributions from Bryant’s sister Aiyanna.
The EP isn’t all covers of classic Christmas songs, though. The final track “This Year” is an uplifting anthem that gives listeners a dose of optimism they may need as 2021 quickly approaches.
“This year is going to be awsome / This year is going to be crazy / Our time’s here / So, get ready for greatness / Ain’t no day gon’ be wasted,” Bryant sings on the catchy chorus.
Bryant has been using his voice and his fast-growing platform to promote social justice. Aside from his own music, he also contributed to the Jermaine Dupri-helmed track “Change,” which features a range of Black male artists, including Bryan-Michael Cox, Johntá Austin and Ne-Yo.
