The production’s tropical and sunny exterior, crafted by Tha Bizness, allows for the female protagonist of this catchy song to let down her guard and put faith in giving her heart to someone special.
In connection with the beautiful new song, Rotimi puts out its accompanying music video. In the stunning clip, directed by June Y. Bae, Rotimi and his lady Vanessa Mdee are seen in an enchanting forest that puts their love for one another on full display. Watch it below.
“Love Somebody” is Rotimi’s first solo single since the release of his Unplugged Sessions EP. The project featured acoustic versions of songs from his last two EPs, including his December 2019 release The Beauty of Becoming.
Rotimi also collaborated with a number of his R&B colleagues this year, including Jacob Latimore and Trevor Jackson (“Real Love, Pt. 2”) and Sammie (“Picky”). He also appeared on the socially-conscious track “Change.”
