Rising artist Sainvil opens up about the harms of a toxic relationship on “Need 2,” the singer-songwriter’s first drop of 2021.
The emotionally-charged track is produced by Eightsarewild, and it uses deep bass and a dragging house-influenced rhythm to discuss the mental and emotional strife that comes with a poorly-kept relationship.
“Why you showin’ out for all these people / this ain’t what it was in all the previews / even though you know I got to see you / I need to, I need to,” Sainvil croons on the track.
“‘Need 2’ is about the moment right before you decide to let go of someone you love. That mental push and pull before the inevitable end,” Sainvil explained in a press statement.
“Need 2” follows a handful of gems dropped by the Alamo Records-signee in 2020 including his first two projects 2020 Was Hijacked and In Bad Shape.
