Actor/singer Jamie Foxx will soon gear up for another big movie role as he will reportedly star in a Mike Tyson biopic.
During his press run for his new show “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth,” Tyson shared a few details about his plans for the film. “Within a year to 18 months, we’re going to do the Mike Tyson story and he’s going to portray me, and now they have this new animation; because you know Jamie’s pretty much my age so he can’t portray me but they have this new system,” said Tyson.
“I saw him the other night and we discussed it,” he added. “He doesn’t have the physicality but he will. He’s able to…get bulky, so he’s capable of doing it in the future.”
The biopic has been in talks for a few years, though. “I think that, of all the biopics that are out there, he has the most interesting story that no one has ever heard,” Foxx told MTV in a 2009 interview.
Foxx is no stranger to biopics. In 2001, he portrayed Muhammad Ali’s assistant trainer, Drew ‘Bundini’ Brown, in the film “Ali.” He also played legendary singer Ray Charles in the 2004 film “Ray.”
