Maxwell Releases Video for ‘Gods’

After releasing his visual for “Gods” exclusively on Tidal last week, Maxwell makes the video available for all. Directed by Philip Andelman, the video shows Maxwell in Los Angeles, where he takes a joy ride around the city in his Lamborghini.

“Inspiration stemmed from having an experience of sort of seeing the spiritual parallel universe — that which can’t be seen,” Maxwell told Billboard. “Art is subjective, visions evolve and I want fans to interpret the video on their own. I hope they enjoy it.””

“Gods” is lifted from Maxwell’s latest album, blackSUMMERS’night, which released last summer.

Cassie Shares Visual for ‘Don’t Play It Safe’

Cassie continues her comeback with a brand new video for her latest song, “Don’t Play It Safe.” Directed by Life Garland, the vibrant visual shows the singer/model sitting poolside with hummingbirds and tiger by her side, swimming with stingray and strutting around the streets of Los Angeles.

“Don’t wanna wait for, wait for / All these rules and confirmations / If you want it, gotta take it / If we change the pace up / There’s no room for complications / If you want it, gotta take it, yeah,” she sings on the Kayranada-produced cut.

“Don’t Play It Safe” is the follow-up to “Love A Loser” featuring G-Eazy.

Craig David Releases Video for New Single ‘I Know You’

Craig David has released a visual for his latest track “I Know You,” which features British indie band Bastille.

Directed by Alex Southam, the video finds David at a basement party where he takes shots, sings karaoke and just enjoys moments with his friends.

“But we’re all stumbling through the night / It doesn’t matter, we’re all together / And there’s paradise in our minds / Falling together, arms ’round each other / I know you, know me too,” David sings on the EDM-inspired tune.

“I Know You” is lifted from David’s seventh studio album, The Time Is Now, which is set to release on January 26. The project will feature guest appearances from Ella Mai, GoldLink, AJ Tracey and JP Cooper.
