Maxwell Releases Video for ‘Gods’

After releasing his visual for “Gods” exclusively on Tidal last week, Maxwell makes the video available for all. Directed by Philip Andelman, the video shows Maxwell in Los Angeles, where he takes a joy ride around the city in his Lamborghini.

“Inspiration stemmed from having an experience of sort of seeing the spiritual parallel universe — that which can’t be seen,” Maxwell told Billboard. “Art is subjective, visions evolve and I want fans to interpret the video on their own. I hope they enjoy it.””

“Gods” is lifted from Maxwell’s latest album, blackSUMMERS’night, which released last summer.

The Weeknd Releases Surreal Visual for ‘Call Out My Name’

The Weeknd captures his dark emotions in the video for “Call Out My Name,” which is lifted from his new project, My Dear Melancholy.

Directed by Grant Singer, the eerie clip opens with The Weeknd walking alone on an empty street. The video takes a strange turn after one-minute of playing. When he belts the chorus, bats fly out of his mouth. The video continues to get creepy as The Weeknd finds himself in an abandoned theater and in the middle of the wilderness.

My Dear Melancholy debuted at No. 1 this week on the Billboard 200, making it his third consecutive number one album. The project follows 2016’s Starboy and 2015’s Beauty Behind the Madness.

Fans will be calling out The Weeknd’s name today at Coachella, where he is set to perform. His festival run this summer also includes Panorama in July and Lollapalooza in August.

Ne-Yo Shares Video for ‘Push Back’ featuring Bebe Rexha and Stefflon Don

Ne-Yo has released a visual for his latest single “Push Back” featuring pop singer Bebe Rexha and rapper Stefflon Don.

Directed by James Larese, the vibrant clip brings the dancehall-inspired song to life as Ne-Yo and his dancers show off some slick moves in front of a colorful backdrop. Bebe and Stefflon keep it cute with sassy poses and slight twerks.

Speaking on “Push Back,” Ne-Yo says, “I love a woman who knows how to move. I love a woman that has her own self, her own heart and mind. She’s comfortable with her body. And when her song comes on, she’s gonna get up and move. She’s gonna show you just how confident and comfortable she is. ‘Push Back’ is about these women.”

“Push Back” is lifted from Ne-Yo’s seventh studio album, Good Man, which is slated to release on June 8 via Compound Entertainment/Motown Records.
