R&B newcomer Miranda Brooke has released her debut single, “Hater,” via Island Def Jam.
On the Shama Joseph-produced track, co-written by Michael Powell and Tiwa Savage, Brooke admits that she’s jealous of her ex’s new girlfriend.
“I don’t like her, I’m a hater / You’re in love, I’m alone, It’s not fair / She gets the good guy, I got the player / So I don’t like her, I’m a hater,” Brooke sings.
Speaking on her new song, Brooke explains, “about ugly feelings. It’s about jealousy, insecurity, and weakness, but it’s honest.”
