Rated RnB’s “Rated NEXT” series is back. We would like to introduce singer-songwriter John Michael. The Fredericksburg, VA native has been getting buzz from his debut single, “Sophisticated Lady” produced by Detroit Red. The song is already getting radio spins in cities like Los Angeles, Richmond and Atlantic City. Michael revealed to Rated RnB that listening to Miguel’s album, “All I Want Is You,” influenced him to write “Sophisticated Lady.”
The 23-year-old R&B new comer will release his self-titled debut EP in September. The EP will include “Sophisticated Lady” as well as a song called “Just A Man,” where he tells a story about how a man tells his woman that he doesn’t have a lot of things. All he has is his name and his ability to love.
