R&B crooner Joe has contributed to the classic sound of R&B music, which is why he’s this week’s Throwback Thursday. One of our favorite songs by Joe is “I Wanna Know.” The 2000 tune was the lead single from his third — and most successful — studio album, My Name Is Joe. The Grammy nominated single shot to the Top Ten of Billboard’s charts including, R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (#2), Pop Songs (#5) and Hot 100 (#4).
It also won several accolades such as an ASCAP Award for Most Performed Songs from Motion Pictures and a Billboard Award.
Joe released his latest album, The Good, The Bad, The Sexy, in 2011. He recently collaborated with LL Cool J and appears on his new single, “Take It,” which will is the lead single to LL Cool J’s 14th studio album.
