India Arie makes a smooth return to music with her new song “Cocoa Butter.” The neo-soul songstress surprised her fans yesterday (Mar. 21) by announcing the song on Twitter.
“Its been a LONG! LONG! road here #COCOABUTTER by @_SHANNONSANDERS and ME,” Arie tweeted before adding a link to “Cocoa Butter.”
On the feel-good track, Arie sings, “Your love is like Cocoa Butter on my heart/ Your touch is like Cocoa Butter on my heart/ Your kiss is like Cocoa Butter on my heart/ Oh boy you are like Cocoa Butter on my heart.”
“Cocoa Butter” is the first single off Arie’s upcoming fifth studio album titled SongVersation. The album is the follow-up to Arie’s 2009 release, Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics.
