This week’s Throwback Thursday comes from R&B starlet Christina Milian. In 2004, Milian released “Dip it Low” featuring Fabolous as the lead single from her second studio album, It’s About Time. The sensual single schooled ladies with basic ‘hokey pokey’ inspired instructions on how to show their man the time of his life in the bedroom.

Produced by Poli Paul, “Dip it Low” peaked at No.1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs, No.5 on Billboard’s Hot 100, and a top 20 placement on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. In addition, it also snatched the No.2 spot on the UK singles charts and countless top 20’s in other countries.
The song was certified gold by RIAA in 2005. It also earned Milian a Grammy nomination for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 47th Grammy Awards.
