It’s been five years since Janet Jackson released an album. In a recent interview with Billboard, the “Rhythm Nation” singer confirmed that she is working on her 11th studio album.
“I am working on a new project now,” says Jackson. “We are creating the concept and initial thoughts on the music. I am excited about the direction we are taking. I don’t want to rush it… I don’t want to put a time constraint on the creative process.”
Jackson’s released her last album, “Discipline,” in 2008. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 181,000 copies in its first week of sales.
