Mary J.Blige is known for dropping a new studio album every two years but this year she’s switching things up. During an interview with Charleston Scene, Blige talked about releasing her first Christmas album fittingly titled A Mary Christmas.
The Christmas LP is slated to arrive this fall and will feature guest appearances from singers Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez.
The album will also feature a “jazzy” duet of “When You Wish Upon a Star” with music legend Barbra Streisand. By no means is this Blige’s first holiday effort. She has recorded “Christmas In The City,” “What Child is This” and most recently 2012’s “We Three Kings” with Rod Stewart.
She also dished on her 11th studio album.“We’re in the process of beginning that. I’ve already come up with the title and started writing songs,” says Blige.
