Can you believe it has been already month since we launch our latest feature Chart Check? We appreciate all our readers for supporting and keeping this feature alive. Now that we got that taken care of, let’s jump into this week’s Chart Check, dates ranging from July 18-25 (Billboard) and July 21-27 (radio).
Hot 100
It is safe to say Robin Thicke is the king of Billboard’s Hot 100 this year (so far). His blazing single “Blurred Lines” featuring T.I. and Pharrell spends its seventh consecutive week at No.1. Along with snagging the No.1 spot for another week, the song has reached the largest radio audience of all-time
(242.65 million listeners).
Everyone’s favorite “Promise” singer Ciara has been “Livin’ the Vida Loca” the last few weeks but the “Body Party” seems to be coming to a screeching halt. The lead single from her self-titled album re-winded from No. 22 to No. 27. As well as her latest single “I’m Out” featuring Nicki Minaj dropped from No. 44 to No. 75.
As for Mariah Carey, her “#Beautiful” run has been fun but not another remix under the sun will allow the single to rise again. In 11 weeks, the single has peaked No.15 on the chart and last week the single chart at No.23 but now lives at No.37.
Billboard 200
With all the promotion leading up to the release of her new album, Ciara wasn’t able to sustain the Top 5 or Top 10 position. Her fifth studio album charted No.20, selling 15,000 with a grand total of 74,000 sold to date.
The legendary Ron Isley released his sophomore solo LP “This Song is For You” and debuted at No.27.
After five weeks, Kelly Rowland ‘s “Talk A Good Game” continues to slip away on the Billboard 200. The album has peaked at No.4 and has continued to fall (4-11-19-23-45).

R&B/Hip-Hop Songs
As hip-hop remains dominate in the Top 10 of the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, Robin Thicke and Ciara hold it down for R&B. Thicke remains No.1 with “Blurred Lines” while Ci Ci’s “Body Party” slipped two spots from No. 6 to No. 8. Mariah Carey’s Miguel-assisted single “#Beautiful” dropped from the Top 10 but remains close at No.11. After debuting at No.14, Justin Timberlake’s latest single “Take Back The Night” rises to No.12 in its second week.
