Rising R&B artist TJ Boyce premieres his new single “I Believe In The Dream,” as a tribute to the victims of the recent tragic events in West, TX, the Boston Marathon bombing, and the twisters in Oklahoma. All proceeds of the song will benefit the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, which provides aid and support to victims of disasters.
Modeled after the “We are the World” Foundation, Boyce was inspired to write and record a song to help people and provide an inspirational message. Boyce attended high school in a small town near West, TX and has an 8-year-old son of his own, the same age as the Boston terrorist’s youngest victim. The tragedies had a particular emotional impact on the singer.
In the song, Boyce describes his dream of a world where “all the nations sing a beautiful song of love and peace together.” The lyrics are meant to encourage people to love their neighbors and lend a helping hand when needed. The song’s soulful sounds similar to a gospel choir mixed with a bluesy-R&B feel strike an emotional chord with the listener.
