Earlier this week, Mary J.Blige gave a few details on what to expect from her first holiday effort “A Mary Christmas,” due October 15. Now the official track-list has surfaced online.
On the 12-track festive album, Blige adds her soulful touch to holiday classics like “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “This Christmas” and “The Christmas Song.” The “Don’t Mind” songstress teams up with Barbara Streisand for “When You Wish Upon A Star” along with Jessie J on “Do You Hear What I Hear? and The Clark Sisters on “The First Noel.”
Blige is set to impress as she tackles the French tune “Petit Papa Noel” and “Noche De Paz,” a Spanish duet with Marc Anthony.
“This record showcases how deep and wide her talent runs,” says David Foster, the producer of the LP.
To help promote the album, two of the holiday tunes will be featured in the film “Best Man Holiday” hitting theaters Nov.15. On November 27, catch Blige starring in “Black Nativity” alongside fellow singers Jennifer Hudson, Jacob Latimore and Tyrese.
