Nominations for the 2013 Soul Train Awards have been annoucned and R&B artists are shining brighter than ever. Tamar Braxton, Janelle Monáe and Erkyah Badu lead the pack for female R&B artists, totaling five nominations including Video of the Year and The Ashford and Simpson Songwriter’s Award (“Love and War” and “Q.U.E.E.N”).
As expected, Justin Timberlake notches the most nominations for R&B crooners, receiving six while Robin Thicke, Chris Brown Miguel garner five each.
The 2013 Soul Train Awards will be held Nov. 8 in Las Vegas. The awards will air Dec. 1 on BET and Centric.
