Earlier this month, Chrisette Michele and Leela James were announced as the newest cast members of TV One’s “R&B Divas: LA.”
In an interview with Roland Martin of NewsOneNow, the two divine divas Skyped in to share what fans can expect to see from them on the upcoming season.
“I’m expecting to have a really, really good time,” said Michele. “Second of all, I’m excited to show people what it’s like to put this music we work so hard for together.”
James, too, wants to showcase the process of creating the music. Along with the music, she stated she wants “To have a great time and create new relationships and to showcase the talents that all the divas have in a positive manner.”
While the show hasn’t aired yet, the two R&B artists want to let future viewers know they’re aren’t about that life of Vaseline and Timberland boots.
“[My mother] raised me in a manner where she said, ‘You act like you got sense,” said James.
Michele cosigns with, “My mother would probably be the first person to pop me upside the head in front of the camera.”
