Last night (Dec.11), Kelly Rowland appeared as a special guest on The Arsenio Hall Show. During the one-on-one interview with the “Simply Deep” artist, Hall discussed a slew of topics with Rowland including the lyrics to her single “Dirty Laundry” which she called a “therapy session.”
Rowland tells Hall the latter tune took her two and a half hours to record. After getting her emotions on wax about wanting a career mirrored after Beyonce’s career, she says now “I like my path. I have a damn good path. God knows what he’s doing.”
Following her speaking on her “Dirty Laundry” lyrics, the “Motivation” singer talked about being a judge on X-Factor and what she looks for in contestants. “From the way they present themselves to the crowd to how their feeling internally.”
She later tells Hall what advice she would give her younger self, “To probably listen to my gut,” said Rowland. “Because I feel as human beings, God gives us such incredible instinct.”
Rowland also shed light on the engagement rumors that sparked a frenzy after a photo with who she calls her “best friend” emerged earlier this month.
