R&B singer K. Michelle premieres yet another web series. The “Can’t Raise A Man” singer released the first episode, “Restriction,” via her website on Tuesday (Jan. 22).
Directed by ADV, part one features a voice over of the “Rebellious Soul” singer and several behind-the-scenes clips of her performing, signing autographs for fans, and singing a favorite song of hers by country music duo The Judds.
When the interviewer implied that it could be difficult for K. Michelle to crossover due to her personality and “Love and Hip Hop” fame, she had this to say, “Whatever I want to sing, I’m gonna sing it this year. No one’s gonna tell me what I need to sing because of my ethnicity or my attitude. I will continue to grow and strive to be the best musical artist that I know.”
Michelle added this note to her video:
My truth is all I know what to give and how to live. In life many will judge you because they simply don’t know you. It’s okay to be misunderstood. With these questions I’m going beneath the surface and answering honestly so that you’ll understand me better as an artist and even more as a person.
