Singer/actress LeToya Luckett stops by the Wendy Williams Show studio to talk “Single Ladies,” love and her upcoming album.
With a plum purple killer pant suit and a curly short auburn bob, Luckett plops on Williams’ comfy couch for some one-on-one chit chat. Williams first compliments Luckett on her new look and questions why the sudden change. Luckett admits that her team told her it was time to dish the ‘girl-next-door’ look and move past her comfort zone.
Speaking of stepping outside her comfort zone, Luckett talks about joining the cast of “Single Ladies” as ice-cold bossy Record Executive Felicia Price, polar opposite from Luckett’s southern belle warm persona.
“She was so much fun to play, she has so much confidence” says the 32-year-old Houston native. “I think people can sometimes misunderstand women of power and they don’t understand their climb to get to where they are, but I respect it.”
When asked if she was really a “single lady” in real life, she admits that she is and that her last public relationship was with rapper Slim Thug several years ago. She also gets personal and says that her sex life is far from exciting. She let’s in on this secret:
“I don’t really like to date. I’m to myself. I can be very picky, but at the same time I’m very patient with waiting on God.”
Former Destiny’s Child member also confirmed working on her third solo studio album and unveiled its title, “Until Then.” The album will be released sometime later this year.
