You think you know but you have no idea. R&B singer and philanthropist John Legend tells US Weekly a list of things that most people may not know about him. The 35-year-old singer shared secrets as it relates to his music, his personal life, and other random things.
Here are five music-related facts you may not have known about the “Ordinary People” singer:
1. He took his first piano lesson at age 4.
2. As a kid, he wanted to be a musician but also aspired to be Andy Griffith’s lawyer character, Ben Matlock.
3. He was a wedding singer as a teenager.
4. He played piano on Lauryn Hill’s “Everything Is Everything.”
5. He met Michael Jackson on a trip to Bahrain.
Last month, Legend gave a heartwarming performance of his number one single “All Of Me” at the 2014 Grammy Awards.
While Legend did not take home a win for his critically acclaimed album “Love in the Future,” he is nominated for four NAACP Image Awards and is scheduled to perform at the prestigious Governor’s Ball celebration after the Academy Awards on March 2.
