Emerging singer Angelique Sabrina is bringing her Bahamian heat to the U.S. market. The 16-year-old singer releases her new single “I’m Ready,” which is a ballad filled with the imagery of budding relationships that showcases her smooth, angelic vocals.
“I’m Ready” is more soulful compared to Sabrina’s previous releases “Pull Up” and “Stop Sign.” “It’s the first real love song I’ve written,” Sabrina explains, who co-wrote her new single. “It’s very different from any song that I’ve ever recorded before, and I think it represents where I’m at in my life perfectly. I also think it relates a lot to my generation and how we feel about love and relationships.”
The music video, released on Valentine’s Day, features Sabrina in a dance scene set on a pristine Bahamas beach with a five other dancers, arranged by top New York choreographer Tweet Boogie. Other scenes show Sabrina with her love interest in various flashback scenes and Sabrina encountering the loving interaction of diverse couples along her way to a climatic finish.
