This year’s Valentine’s Day was the perfect occasion for under the radar R&B singers to release new music. Jake&Papa, former members of the brother boy band Brutha, released the video for their sexy new single “Black Opium.”
The video, directed by Erica D. Hayes, features the familiar faces of Jake&Papa being seduced by women dressed in black paint, lace and leather. On the track, the brothers sing about putting their freaky thoughts into action by getting lifted. “We gon’ let that black opium, take control over us, let it open up your mind to the freaky things we could be.”
The former BET reality stars are now a musical duo and are signed to Def Jam. In 2011, the two brothers released their second mixtape “Destination Short Stay II.”
Jake & Papa’s first EP “Athena’s Erotica” is due out in early March.
