R&B crooner August Alsina treated his NYC fans to a private listening party for his debut album “Testimony.”
The New Orleans native previewed his album at a listening party, hosted by New York radio personality Angela Yee earlier this week. Held at the Hudson in New York City, the event allowed the “Don’t Forget About Me” singer to provide insight into the inspiration for his forthcoming debut album. Before the night ended, Alsina was awarded a plaque for his gold-certified single “I Luv This Sh*t.” Party attendees included album collaborators Pusha T and Fabolous, Hip Hop producer DJ Khaled and more.
“I put my all and my soul and my everything into this album. I didn’t do this for me, I did it for the people,” stated Alsina. “I represent the hood, I represent the struggle, I know what it’s like to come from nothing. To have all y’all in my presence, I’m grateful”
Earlier this week Alsina released his latest song, the romantic tune “Kissin On My Tattoos.” His debut album “Testimony” is due out April 15, the birthday of his slain older brother Melvin LaBranch III.
