R&B sweetheart Brandy has been busting her acting chops on BET’s “The Game” as of late and will now try her hand at live television on “The Soul Man.”
The season three premiere of TV Land series “The Soul Man” will be shown live on March 26 at 10:30 p.m. The episode will feature Cedric the Entertainer’s character Boyce organizing and headlining his first church fundraiser for the summer youth program. Brandy will play Boyce’s former backup dancer, Rita, who is desperately trying to hide something.
On the music front, Roc Nation signee Bridget Kelly revealed her hopes to collaborate with the “Full Moon” singer, in a recent interview with Rated RnB. “She’s one of my favorite singers. I studied her in high school,” she said. “Her vocal arrangement, her ad-libs and just the placement of her notes — she’s a monster.”
