Oakland soul artist Keyshia Cole is working overtime to get fans interested in her new project. After releasing snippets of her new song “Boss Ass B*tch” on Friday (March 14), Cole took to Instagram last night to show off the cover art for her new single “Rick James.”
Along with revealing the artwork, she shared a preview of the song with features ratchet rapper Juicy J. “Why does it matter now?/Who can do you better?/feet up on your couch/Yea b-tch, I’m Rick James,” sings Cole.
In addition to previewing the soon to be “slap a b-tch” anthem, she also teased fans with snippets of songs titled “Next Time” and “Believer.”
Last week, the “A Different Me” singer updated fans via Twitter on her sixth studio album. She revealed the first official single would be a club banger, which is now believed to be “Rick James.” She also stated the album will consist of 15 songs, including four free styled songs, and no female collaborations.
The Juicy J assisted track will premiere on Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” on Wednesday, March 19.
