After receiving top ten R&B success with her Pharrell produced track “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel),” Jennifer Hudson drafts hit-maker Timbaland for her follow-up single “Walk It Out.” Penned by Lyrica Anderson (Missy Elliott, Brittney Spears, Chris Brown), the vintage soul inspired track finds Hudson spicing up her lyrical content and exploring her sexual side. Yet, she attempts to remain her innocence that fans have grown to know.
“Can we reschedule?, we can do this another day/f-ck it, let’s do this today/I know you want to/take me to your room/and I wanna go your way/but you gotta treat me like a lady,” coos Hudson.
While the song doesn’t scream single worthy, it will at least get fans excited for the next taste of her new album, which is set to arrive later this year. Hudson’s untitled third album will feature guest stars such as Pharrell, Babyface and R. Kelly.
