After lending his voice to Estelle (“Be Like”), Ashanti (“Love Games”) and Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas soundtrack, Jeremih puts time into his third album “Thumpy Johnson” as he releases its first single.
“Don’t Tell Em,” produced by DJ Mustard and Mick Schultz, features an interpolation of Snap!’s “Rhythm Is a Dancer.” The lead single features the assistance of “My Hitta” rapper, YG.
On the beat similar to Chris Brown’s “Loyal,” the “Birthday Sex” crooner wants his new chick, who’s dating someone else, to keep their affair on the hush mouth. YG condones the behavior by spitting an explicit verse about the things he doesn’t want his side-chick to utter to her man.
Jeremih’s new album is slated to arrive later this year.
