K. Michelle is hoping to make her sophomore album “very special” with the production expertise of Grammy-Award winning producers the J.U.S.T.I.C.E (Just Undeniably Some of The Illest Composers Ever) League.
The group of incredible musicians posed with the Memphis songstress last night (June 23) and shared the photo via Instagram. In the caption, the instrumentalists declared that they’ve “made a classic.”
Although, the J.U.S.T.I.C.E League’s discography consists of working primarily with hip-hop artists, the trio has produced a few tracks for R&B artists, too. The trio has produced songs for J. Holiday (“Fallin”), Keyshia Cole (“Long Way Down”), Kandi (“I Want You”) and Mary J. Blige, whose album “The Breakthrough” earned them Best R&B Album at the 2007 Grammy Awards for creating the instrumental for “No One Will Do.”
Since we’ve followed K. Michelle’s sophomore album journey, she’s had sessions with Sevyn Streeter, Stacy Barthe and Harvey Mason Jr, of The Underdogs. While there isn’t an actual date set for the album’s release, the word on the street is that it will release later this year.
