What a performance! On Sunday night, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight and Fantasia blessed the 68th Annual Tony Awards audience with their powerful voices.
The ladies lent their wonderful voices to the award show to celebrate the multi-Tony nominated musical “After Midnight.” Draped in her best Harlem Renaissance wardrobe, Fantasia opened the trio’s performance with a bluesy rendition of “Sunny Side of the Street.” She was shortly united with her idols, Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight, who brought their soulful twist and choreography to the jazzy song.
After the ladies graced the stage, a parade of dancers paid tribute to the 20th century movement with a range of eye-catching dances. The dancers were even joined by host, Hugh Jackman who showed off his snazzy tap moves.
