R&B veterans Hi-Five is plotting their comeback. The group is set to release their new EP titled “Hi-Five The EP” in August.
The EP will feature music provided by members Treston Irby, Marcus Sanders, Shannon Gill, Billy Covington and Faruq Evans. “It has been a long time coming and we are just filled with excitement to reconnect with our loyal fans and meet new ones along the way,” says Irby.
Hi-Five will release “It’s Nothing” on July 29 as the EP’s lead single. The song was produced by Sheldon Goode and written by Brian Adams and group member Billy Covington. “We wanted to give our fans a familiar sound yet more mature but still the signature HI-Five delivery,” says Covington.
In related news, Hi-Five will be featured on an episode of TVOne’s “Unsung” on August 6. Check your local listings.
I dont think many peeps will be feeling this reunion without
the late Tony Thompson.
