Following the release of her comeback single “Dumb,” Jazmine Sullivan premieres “Forever Don’t Last.” The emotionally packed song is the second single off Sullivan’s forthcoming album “Reality Show.”
“Forever Don’t Last” is certainly a song we can all relate to at some point in our lives. Sullivan croons about the painful reality of a trying to save a relationship gone sour. “And I tried to believe that we can make it/ But trying don’t work/ So I just had to face that forever doesn’t last too long these days,” Sullivan sings.
The Philadelphia native revealed to Billboard that “Forever Don’t Last” is the most personal song on “Reality Show.” “I’m basically crying on that song,” she said. “It’s a ballad, and that’s classic Jazmine. It’s a letting-go song which is why it’s so personal. I feel like I came to a point in my relationship where [I needed] to let go and move on. I just had to do it.”
