After kicking off his “UR” album era in May, Usher earns his first number-one song on urban AC radio.
With 2,020 radio spins “Good Kisser,” the lead single off his eighth studio album, tops the urban adult contemporary radio chart.
The Pop & Oak produced track ‘usher’ed its way into the urban AC radio chart on May 11 with 59 radio spins. Since its entry, the funky tune has reached 2,118 total radio spins.
The R&B veteran talked with Billboard.com about pushing his album back earlier this month. He stated, “The album isn’t scheduled anymore. I’ve basically taken it back. I’m taking my time with it.”
He also told the online publication, “I haven’t finished the album enough to tell you what I’m talking about.”
Maybe the news on “Good Kisser” becoming number-one will ruffle some feathers and motivate him to finish his new album.
