CENTRIC has announced an exciting lineup of performers for the 2014 Soul Train Awards. The television network confirmed Chris Brown, who leads with seven nominations, will grace the stage. R&B veterans Jodeci will reunite on stage to take fans on a trip to memory lane, as the sing a medley of their hits before performing their new single “Nobody Wins.” Other performers include Jeremih, Aloe Blacc, Lisa Stansfield, Kem and Liv Warfield.
“This slate of performances is another example that Soul Train Awards 2014 is the only place where soul music lovers can find the diverse combination of current chart-topping performers and reunions from their favorite hit-making groups,” said Paxton Baker, General Manager and Executive Vice President, CENTRIC. “We are pulling out all the stops this year and are thrilled to have Chris Brown and Jodeci lead the big surprises we have in store.”
2014 Soul Train Awards Nominees Announced
According to a press release, the theme for this year’s Soul Train Awards will celebrate the history of dance. To bring the dance theme to life, Soul Train Awards 2014 has brought in award-winning choreographer Fatima Robinson and her 12 seasoned dancers to lead the show.
Hosted by media maven Wendy Williams, the 2014 Soul Train Awards will take place at the Orleans Arena on November 7. The award show air on CENTRIC and BET on November 30 at 8 p.m. EST.
