A week after releasing her new single “Whole Damn Year,” Mary J. Blige premieres the song’s official lyric video.
The black-and-white clip races through the beauty city of London before it’s interuppted by scenes of the four seasons. “Winter took most of my heart, and spring punch me right in the stomach/summer came lookin’ for blood and by autumn I was left with nothing,” sings a heartbroken Blige.
The Emeli Sandé penned tune will make a top-20 debut at No.15 on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart this week.
If you’ve already pre-ordered Blige’s 13th studio album “The London Sessions,” which arrives on December 2, “Whole Damn Year” will download instantly on Oct. 21.
